Así ha revelado Iker Casillas que ha ayudado en las labores de extinción del incendio en Navalacruz

Han sido días difíciles en Navalacruz y otras localidades próximas al pueblo natal de Iker Casillas; un complejo incendio forestal ha quemado más de 20.000 hectáreas con un perímetro afectado de cerca de 100 kilómetros, y hasta el propio ex guardameta del Real Madrid ha querido trasladarse hasta el lugar para ayudar como fuera posible con las labores de extinción.

Así lo ha hecho saber el propio Iker Casillas en su última publicación de Instagram: "¡con dureza ante las llamas! Sin ningún miedo de ayudar y colaborar con la gente. Enormes aquellos que más sabían y que han guiado a los que no teníamos ni idea de coger un azadón. ¡Por estas cosas son las que se siente uno orgulloso de que nos conozcan! Aunque siendo humildes, ¡os digo que hubiéramos preferido estar en segundo plano y que esto no hubiera sucedido nunca jamás!".

Pero el mensaje no quedaba aquí, porque también da las gracias a su familia y amigos y a todos los servicios que "luchan constantemente contra los incendios". Él no ha tenido ningún problema en coger una motosierra y hacer todo lo necesario para evitar que las llamas llegasen hasta esa pequeña localidad de Ávila que le vio crecer cuando era más joven. Y como él, cientos de vecinos y amigos que le han acompañado en esta triste aventura.
