Cristiano Ronaldo, Lewandowski and Walker are also in the running for the award

Lionel Messi is one of the four candidates who are in the running to claim UEFA's 'Player of the Week' award. Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski and Kyle Walker are the other names on the shortlist.

The Barça captain was the star of the show as he dragged his side to victory over Napoli. He scored a goal, won a penalty and had a goal disallowed for an alleged handball.

THE OTHER FAVOURITE

The main threat to Messi claiming yet another award is Lewandowski. He scored two of Bayern's four against Chelsea. The German giants will come up against Leo and Barça in the quarter-finals.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace but it wasn't enough as Juventus were eliminated by Lyon on away goals. Walker produced a fantastic all-round performance for Manchester City as they dominated Real Madrid.
