Matthäus: Bayern will have to really play badly to lose to Barça
The ex-Bayern player is confident they can beat Barcelona on Friday
Barcelona beat Napoli on Saturday to set up a Champions League final against Bayern Munich, who will begin Friday's quarterfinal as favourites, according to Lothar Matthäus.
The Bayern legend says the German club would have to really mess up to lose to Barça after making a statement with a 7-1 aggregate win over Chelsea.
"Of course Barcelona have got the quality to give the best of themselves in a knockout tie but I think that Bayern would have to really play badly to lose to the current Barcelona side," Matthäus told Sky.
However, Matthäus also wanted to say that the fact it's a one-off game could increase Barça's chances of beating the Bundesliga champions.
He added: "A lot of things can happen in a one-legged tie, if you have a bad day, you can easily find yourself knocked out. Over two legs you can always make up for playing badly in the first game."
