The sporting director is lining up an ambitious move for the Brazilian

Malcom could return to La Liga. According to Estadio Deportivo, the Brazilian winger is one of the names on Monchi's list as the Sevilla sporting director looks to build on this season's fourth-placed finish.

Monchi has followed Malcom since he was a Corinthians player. He then continued to monitor him when he moved to Europe with French side Bordeaux and came agonisingly close to signing him when he worked for Roma.

However, after Roma had announced an agreement with Bordeaux to sign Malcom, Barça came in with an eleventh-hour bid and managed to convince Malcom to move to Camp Nou.

After just one season in Catalonia, the Brazilian was sold to Russian side Zenit, with Monchi now lining up a move to take him to Sevilla.

Zenit paid Barça 40 million euros for Malcom, who played a key role in the final stage of the season as they won the league. If Sevilla can get them to sell for less, a deal could be possible.
