The defender hopes to get off the mark on Friday and has his celebration planned if he does

Sergio Ramos, who has returned this season to the club where he was formed, Sevilla, after a long spell at Real Madrid and a more recent brief spell at French club Paris Saint-Germain, admitted on the eve of his team's clash with Barcelona at the Lluís Companys de Montjuïc stadium on Friday that the game "has extra motivation because [Barça] are one of the best teams."

In comments to the club's media, the centre-back pointed out that "as happens in the Champions League," these types of opponents "are a plus no matter how much" you don't want them to be, and added that Barça "are favourites for everything, in LaLiga and the Champions League, and that means that a win against them has that emotional plus."

In addition, Ramos said that he already has his goal celebration in mind if he manages to score a goal.

"I hope I can score my first goal against Barça. I have the celebration ready and it's very nice for everyone," he said.

"We're going to try and go for it, even if it's a different stadium, but they're the same players. They have verticality, they're quick on the wing and it's going to be a nice game.

"I'm more concerned about the team having a good defensive line, keeping a clean sheet and being solid at the back, so that the rest of the lines are comfortable with the defence, which is what makes you grow as a team."

The 37-year-old did not travel to Pamplona to face Osasuna last Saturday (0-0) due to a muscle strain and was on the bench without playing on Tuesday in the visit of Almeria (5-1).

Asked about his current physical and sporting state after training on his own all summer, he stressed that he feels "not bad, quite the opposite, but when you come back from a holiday, no matter how much you train, you need that process of getting minutes, rhythm and speed as the games go by."

But that he feels "fine, in training dynamics, in the group and accumulating minutes and games."
