Pedri called up to Luis Enrique Spain squad for World Cup 2022 qualifiers
The Spanish midfielder has been in sublime form for Barca this season
It was the news we were waiting for and now it has been confirmed; Pedri Gonzalez is in the Spain national team squad.
Week after week he has been shining for Ronald Koeman’s Barcelona and he has got his just reward at 18 years old.
Luis Enrique has had his eye on the midfielder for some time. In January he said “Pedri is a player that a lot of us like, that’s evident.”
There is a very high chance he is included in the squad to play at the Euros in the summer.
The Barca midfielder is joined by his team-mate Sergio Busquets for the World Cup 2022 qualifiers against Greece, Georgia and Kosovo.
