Luis Enrique: Pedri is a player a lot of us like
The Spain coach did not reveal if he would pick him for the March squad
Spain coach Luis Enrique says that Barcelona midfielder Pedri is a player that he likes a lot, ahead of next summer’s Euros.
“We have not called him up but he’s regularly in the U21s,” said Luis Enrique to Movistar. “Being coach of the national team I have total preference, that’s what Luis de la Fuente told me, along with the rest of the coaches, to select, regardless of age.”
The 18-year-old has been in fine form for the Catalans and must be in the coach’s thinking, although he did not reveal if he would be in the March squad.
“It could be Pedri or any Spanish player (in there) until March, Pedri is a player that a lot of us like, that’s evident.”
