Spain players will appear in Madrid after Tome call-up

| sport

This Monday afternoon national coach Montse Tomé gave her list of players called up for the next matches in the Nations League against Sweden this Friday and against Switzerland next Tuesday, for which they have been required to present themselves this Tuesday in Madrid.

In it, to the surprise of the players, were players who had not expressed their desire to be called up and who were still waiting for measures to be taken before returning.

As we have reported in SPORT, the players' initial reaction of astonishment has turned into consultations with their legal representatives and with the union that represents the players.

The consultations have given the players a first response and that is that there is no way out, at least at the moment, so the players must leave tonight or tomorrow morning on their way to Madrid, meeting at 11:30 am at the RFEF Sports City, in Las Rozas.

Players who are currently in Manchester, Laia Aleixandri and Lucía García, may not arrive in time, given the haste with which they have been called up. Or Esther García in New York.

The clubs have already received a formal request from the RFEF to release their players.
