Montse Tome denies being one of those the players want out of RFEF

During the press conference following the announcement of the squad for the Nations League matches in the upcoming break, where several of the 39 signatories of last week's press release were included, Montse Tomé, who was also presented as the new coach, spoke out.

When asked if she was one of those singled out by the players, and therefore one of those calling for her to step down, she said: "This news hasn't reached me. I can't tell you much more".

With these statements, it is understood that Montse Tomé was not part of the players' demands to return to a call-up to the Spanish national team.

In addition, moments before she had already explained that: "I have spoken to the players and what I have said I am not going to reveal. It's part of the professional relationship and it stays with us"

What is clear is that they have spoken to be able to solve the distances between the two and to be able to form a call-up with several of the world champions and others who also deserved a place, such as Mapi León or Patri Guijarro.

Two players not in the list are Claudia Pina and Sandra Panos. They did not make the squad for the World Cup either, despite the latter renouncing her strike. Jenni Hermoso is also not included for ‘protection’ according to Tome.
