The French coach confirms that he doesn't want Keylor to leave and expects him to remain at the club

Zinedine Zidane held his official press conference today ahead of Real Madrid's match against Real Valladolid on Saturday evening. After winning their opener against Celta Vigo, Madrid will be looking to make it two from two. However, a lot of the pre-match talk was about transfer rumours involving players coming both into and out of the club.

The main focus, aside from Neymar, was on the future of goalkeeper Keylor Navas: "I can't see our squad without Keylor. I don't want to even think about the possibility he could leave. He wants to play and show he's as good as anybody else. He's a professional. We'll be involved in a lot of matches and I will count on him."

Zidane also spoke about these other topics:

Modric's red card: "I feel for him because he didn't have any intention of hurting his opponent. We all know he's a clean player. With the new rule, he was sent off but I'm convinced that was never his intention."

Real Valladolid: "It isn't a banana skin of a game because those don't exist. There aren't 'smaller' matches because you can't guarantee you will beat anybody else."

Loan players being allowed to play against parent clubs: "I don't control that. Those are the rules and the agreement is between the clubs. Loan players are allowed to play and we must accept that."

Bale: "What's changed is the player is going to stay. We've all spoken about it, me included, but now he wants to stay. He's an important player and has shown that in the past, now he needs to show that again."

Will James start?: "You will find out tomorrow. There are three players who could replace Modric."

Kubo: "What we are trying to do and what we want is the best for the player. He's made the decision to join Mallorca and I hope he continues to develop there."
