The Tottenham boss rejected a mega money deal of 17 million euros a year

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez still cannot find the formula to convince the Spanish-Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino to take charge at the Bernabeu. As reported by the British tabloid 'The Sun', Pochettino has rejected the latest offer from Real Madrid, which proposed an annual contract of 17 million euros.

Pochettino has decided that he will remain at Tottenham. He was the favourite candidate for Perez to fill the place of the destitute Julen Lopetegui, but his new refusal will force the chief to continue with Santiago Solari on a provisional basis.

UNCERTAINTY

According to this source, Pochettino ruled out the Madrid proposal because of the uncertainty that exists at the moment in the club and because he fears the constant interference of the board in his work. For that reason he said no again to Real Madrid, as he did last summer when he headed the list of alternatives to replace Zinedine Zidane.

Pochettino has already told Daniel Levy, president of Tottenham, that he will stay. Real Madrid will have to wait until the end of this season to try again. The coach renewed his contract with the London club at the end of last season and it ends in 2023.
