Real Madrid steal Exequiel Palacios from Barcelona
Per TeleMadrid, Los Blancos are securing a deal for River Plate starlet Palacios
Real Madrid have beaten Barcelona and are about to close the signing of River Plate starlet Exequiel Palacios, whom the Catalans were interested in. The agent agreed a deal with Real Madrid which is practically sealed and now the clubs are negotiating.
"After the events that took place, Real Madrid and River made contact, if there is interest in Palacios we will talk club to club, without hurry, when we are all free to do so,” said River Plate president Rodolfo D'Onofrio, although per TeleMadrid an agreement and the signing of Exequiel Palacios is already well under way.
The operation, according to these same sources will be for about 20 million euros, although the release clause of the Argentine player is set at 15 million euros. Madrid will not incorporate the 20 year old until the summer of 2019. TeleMadrid say it will be on a five year deal.
