Florentino Pérez is struggling to find an established coach to take over from Zidane and is now starting to think about appointing someone with close ties to Real Madrid

Two names which were made in Madrid, Michel Gonzalez and Fernando Hierro, have been added to the list of candidates who could replace Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid. The club's president, Florentino Perez, continues to be thwarted in his attempts to bring in an established name to take over first team duties. Mauricio Pochettino, Joachim Low and Jurgen Klopp have all been ruled out and the chances of bringing in Massimiliano Allegri appear to be dwindling as the Italian coach has doubts over leaving Juventus.

Real Madrid are finding it difficult to replace Zidane and, according to 'AS', are now starting to add names to the list who have a historical connection to the club. This means Michel, who is currently unemployed after being sacked by Malaga last season, and Hierro, the current director of football for the Spanish FA, are being considered for the post too.

Both men know the club extremely well and enjoyed success whilst playing for Los Blancos. This means it won't be difficult for either of them to build up a rapport with the supporters at the Santiago Bernabeu. In the last few days another name added to the list is Guti, who hasn't signed a new deal with Real Madrid's youth team and wants to try his hand at managing a senior side.

In a surprising turn of events, the favourite amongst the leaders in the Madrid dressing room is none other than Spain's coach Julen Lopetegui.
