The former Barcelona striker was very critical of Ramos' recent comments following the Champions League final

Gary Lineker, the former Barcelona striker and current sports presenter, strongly criticised Sergio Ramos for his recent comments on the Champions League in Kiev and Mohamed Salah's injury.

Ramos has been subjected to online petitions from Liverpool fans in the immediate aftermath of the final for what they feel was a deliberate attempt to hurt both Salah and Karius. Lineker, who is very active on social media, responded to these claims: "Ramos is a great player and any team in the World would want him, but he’s also a prize twerp."

Ramos broke his silence on what happened in Kiev as well as the injury Salah suffered early on in the match. Ramos suggested the loss of the Egyptian wouldn't have made a great difference to the result and that the player could've carried on in the second half.

The Madrid captain also made light of the recent news about Loris Karius suffering a concussion after colliding with Ramos, and this perhaps being the reason why the young German keeper made significant errors in the final. "In the end they'll say that I gave Firmino a cold because a drop of my sweat fell on him."
