Real Madrid send Achraf to Borussia Dortmund on two-year loan
The right-back has moved to the Bundesliga club following the signing of Odriozola
Real Madrid defender Achraf has joined Borussia Dortmund on loan for the next two seasons, the club confirmed on their website.
In a very brief statement, Los Blancos said: "Real Madrid C. F. and Borussia Dortmund have agreed on the loan of Achraf for the next two seasons."
The Moroccan right-back, who took part in the World Cup, will have the chance to grow in the Bundesliga, as Dani Carvajal did while playing for Bayer Leverkusen in 2012-13.
Achraf Hakimi, born in Madrid in 1998, has been backup to Carvajal for the last season but the signing of Alvaro Odriozola has seen him drop down the pecking order.
New Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui will have to choose between Carvajal and Odriozola at right-back next season.
