Madrid don't like how the Serie A side have behaved this summer and have decided to report Inter to football's governing body

A new chapter has been added to the 'Modric Saga'. This time, it's Real Madrid who are on the offensive and, according to Cadena SER, they aren't happy with Inter Milan's pursuit of Luka Modric. In fact, they have decided to report Inter to FIFA for tapping up their Croatian star without being given permission by Los Blancos.

Modric, who is under contract with Real Madrid, has become Inter's prime target this summer. They've tried to negotiate with Madrid but were told the player wasn't for sale and that the only way Modric would leave is if Inter paid his €750m buyout clause.

Bearing in mind that the Italian transfer market closes at 20:00 CET today, it's highly unlikely that Inter will complete the signing of Modric. Although they will try until the last minute.

At Madrid they know the squad is weaker this season than it was last year and are unwilling to sell another of their key players. Instead, Florentino Perez is hopeful that Modric will sign a new contract, putting him in line with the other top earners at the club, and finish his career at Real Madrid.
