The Italian media outlet claims that the player and president met in order to discuss the Croatia's future, with Inter Milan waiting on the verdict of said talks

According to Italian media outlet 'Sport Mediaset', Luka Modric and Florentino Perez have agreed to meet this afternoon to discuss the player's future.

The transfer market closes on the 17th August at 20:00 CET and Inter are still very much interested in signing the Real Madrid midfielder. They hope that the meeting this afternoon could potentially open the door for Modric to leave.

Although Inter are pushing for the deal, they also know it's going to be very difficult after Real Madrid said they wanted €750m for the Croatian international. If nothing changes in the meeting today, it's essentially impossible for Inter to move forward with the transfer.

The 'Modric Case' hasn't advanced since last week but it's believed the meeting this afternoon will provide a definitive answer as what the future holds for Modric.
