Real Madrid deny making 310m euro offer for Neymar
The club put out a statement saying Spanish state television was wrong
Real Madrid have published a statement denying TVE’s claims they made a huge bid for Paris St. Germain star Neymar.
The former Barcelona winger has been impressing at the World Cup and over the past few months has been heavily linked to Los Blancos.
Spanish state television said that Madrid had made a 310 euro bid for Neymar.
“Given the information issued tonight byTVE on a supposed offer from Real Madrid for Neymar, Real Madrid state that this information is outright false. Real Madrid has not made any kind of offer to PSG or the player,” said Real Madrid in a statement.
“Real Madrid is surprised that Spanish public television has been able to broadcast absolutely false information without anyone from the club being contacted about the alleged information that could easily have been denied.”
