Camavinga, who has been a long term target for Zidane, could join PSG; Madrid still want to sort out a deal for Mbappe in 2021

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and Nasser Al-Khelaifi, his opposite number at PSG, are set to clash in 2021. The PSG chief has made young midfielder Eduardo Camavinga his main transfer target. This is likely to upset Zinedine Zidane who views Camavinga as the ideal player to alternative with Casemiro in midfield. Madrid, however, can't make a move until next summer.

According to 'Le Parisien', Camavinga is seen as a direct replacement for Marco Verratti at PSG. The 17-year-old Rennes youngster is considered one of the brightest prospects in world football and fits the mould of the project Al-Khelaifi is trying to build there.

ZIDANE VS MONEY

Zidane holds a close relationship with Camavinga, who has already said he won't move this summer, but he must try and convince the youngster that his career would be better served in Madrid rather than Paris. Rennes are likely to use the interest to bump up the price of their star man.

Real Madrid are also hopeful of signing Mbappe next summer should he fail to sign an extension at PSG. Talks over a new contract have stalled once again according to 'Le Parisien', with the player knowing Madrid will make a move in 12 months time. PSG would then need to decide whether to cash in on the French superstar and let him run out his contract in 2022.
