Pochettino talks about the rumours linking him with Real Madrid
The Tottenham Hotspur manager insists his entire focus is on the current job he has and doesn't want to listen about rumours linking him with a move elsewhere
Mauricio Pochettino wanted to dismiss, just one more time, the possibility of him taking over the hotseat at Real Madrid. He spoke to the media following Tottenham Hotspur's triumph over PSG at Wembley stadium as the English side kept their slim hopes of qualification alive.
"A new rumour appears every day. That rumour you tell me and the opposite appeared (in the media) the other day. The most important thing is people need to know I am so focused on Tottenham, I am so responsible in my job," stated Pochettino.
And for those Spurs fans who might be worried, or chairman Daniel Levy, the Argentine coach had this to say: "Our fans need to know that and, of course, Daniel Levy needs to know I am so focused on Tottenham."
Certain sections of the British press recently claimed that Pochettino turned down Florentino Perez's initial offer for his services.
