The Madrid chief would be confident if there was a Champions League Clasico

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has bigged up his club's chances of beating Barcelona in a potential Clasico Champions League final in Kyiv on May 26.

The Madrid chief reminded 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' that his side beat Ernesto Valverde's in the Spanish Super Cup, although, curiously, he forgot Barça's 3-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga in December.

When asked about a possible Clasico fianl, Perez said that "the important thing is to get to the final. It could happen, because I imgaine we'll get Bayern next, who we always play against."

He added: "But if we meet Barça in the final, I remember that we've already beat them twice this season in the Super Cup: 1-3 at Camp Nou and 2-0 at home. But we have to knock out Juventus first."

In the same interview, the Madrid president also revealed his intention to remain at the club for as long as possible: "My mandate expires in 2021 and then the socios will decide. I will be president for as long as they want me."
