Marcelo: We've done everything we can to win La Liga
The Brazilian backed the team's work this season after the win over Celta Vigo
Marcelo says Real Madrid did everything they could to win La Liga this season, but it wasn't to be.
Speaking after the 6-0 win over Celta Vigo, in which he earned his 450th appearance for the club, Marcelo said:
“We gave it all we had to play well and win the game. The start of the season was pretty tough, but we then began to gain confidence, score goals and play some good football.
"We know we haven't won LaLiga, but we gave it our best shot. Today was the last game at the Bernabéu and we did all we could to play well and win it.
“I feel good, I'm happy and I've got the confidence of my teammates and the coaching staff. We're lucky to be playing for the best club in the world. We have to enjoy every training session and every match and give your best for this shirt, that's the most important thing”.
