Cristiano's representative, Jorge Mendes, is trying to drum up interest in his client and has spoken to Juventus about making an offer for the player now Madrid are willing to sell

Cristiano Ronaldo is now on holiday and is starting to think about his future. The door is open for him to leave Real Madrid as Cristiano's plea for an improved contract has fallen on deaf ears. For now, it's all speculation as no one has made an offer for the player as of yet. The same thing happened last year when he threatened to leave, no team placed a bid. His agent, Jorge Mendes, is trying to instigate teams to make an offer for Cristiano and this has led the Italian press to believe Juventus are a possible destination for the Portuguese star.

It would be a dream come true for Juventus to see Cristiano wearing their shirt. The reason this could become a reality is due to the close relationship Mendes has with Juventus' owners, the Agnelli family. The two parties are set to plan out a strategy to bring the Real Madrid forward to Turin, according to 'Tuttosport'. "Dreaming of Cristiano" is the newspaper's headline, a media outlet which has have close connections to the club, and it's a deal which would delight Juventus fans too.

the reasons why it might happen

The base of their arguments is that Cristiano Ronaldo has rejected the contract offer from Real Madrid. Florentino Perez refuses to match the player's demands, which stand at €30m per season, and is instead willing to settle on €25m. In Italy they also believe that the €1000m clause isn't in vigor and that an offer of around €100m would be enough to sign Cristiano. At Real Madrid they insist the buyout clause remains the same and that's €1000m.

In Italy they are also optimistic about the possibility of seeing Cristiano in the Sere A and that he could reinforce the team which has come so close to winning the Champions League in recent years. However, Cristiano and Mendes can make all the movements they want but the final decision rests with Real Madrid. He has a contract with them until 2021 and a buyout clause of €1000m until someone proves otherwise. What's certain is the door is open for Cristiano to leave but it'd take a bid of around €120m for Real Madrid to consider selling their star man.
