He was brilliant in Saturday's win in Gijon, scoring two important goals
Isco insisted he wants to remain a Real Madrid player after playing a key role in Saturday's win over Sporting Gijon.
The Spain midfielder scored to make it 1-1 in the first half at El Molinon -- a stunning individual goal -- and then scored a dramatic winner in the last minute as Los Blancos won 3-2.
In and out of the side, though, and with his contract expiring next year, he's been linked with a move away from Madrid.
Barcelona have also been tipped as a possible destination, while there's no shortage of interest from England's Premier League.
"I have always made it clear that I want to be here for many years," he said after starring in Gijon.
"I don't know why people are surprised that I want to play more, it's the same with all players. My parents have always told me that I have to fight for what I deserve.
"The manager [Zinedine Zidane] makes the decisions he thinks are best for the team and he's managing the squad well.
"The press misinterpret things a lot and sometimes they're more interested in sales than informing. I said -- and I maintain -- that I want to stay at Madrid. We will make the right decision at the end of the season."
