The Welshman scored an excellent goal against Real Sociedad

Madrid's winger said he can only control what he can control

Gareth Bale spoke to Movistar after Real Madrid beat Real Sociedad 3-1 at Anoeta, with the Welshman notching the third of the night for Los Blancos.

"It's great to always score, but the most important thing was to get the three points for the team, get back on track, get back to winning ways. [This] is a way I like to play, but I have other ways to play too. It was a great goal, but the most important thing was to get goals for the team, to get the win again, get back on track and close the gap at the top."

Asked about the whistles and jeers he sometimes suffers at the Bernabeu: "It's normal, it happens in football. For me obviously I just have to try to keep my head down and keep working hard and that's all I can do. I can't control what goes on, I can only control how hard I work on the pitch and you go through ups and downs in your career, it's how you bounce back [that matters]."
