Real Sociedad 1-3 Real Madrid: Mayoral and Bale make the difference
Los Blancos took the three points from Anoeta
Borja Mayoral scored his first goal for the club
Real Madrid came to Anoeta worried about in-form, unbeaten Real Sociedad, worried about losing and staying seven points behind Barcelona, lying in mid-table. But they left with three points that take them fourth and an easy calendar coming up in the next two months in La Liga.

Anoeta.
They left with wind in their sails, after Borja Mayoral scored his first goal for the club and Gareth Bale struck a fine third for Madrid to ease the criticism on him. In between them both Kevin Fernandes scored twice, once in Keylor Navas' net to equalise, then once in Geronimo Rulli's net to put Madrid ahead again.
The French left-back netted after a Navas gaffe then nearly pulled the same trick off again but fired against the crossbar, after Mayoral had stabbed home from close range. However the second time around, Madrid broke and Mayoral crossed the ball into the area. Who was there but Fernandes, who diverted the pass, but only into his own net.
Bale added the third after the hour when Isco's through ball set him free, the Welshman retaining his cool to loft it over the keeper.
Madrid continued their scoring run which is now 73 games, matching Pele's Santos's all-time record.
