The Madrid president explained the Portugal striker's move to Juventus after nine years at Real

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez spoke about the reason that Cristiano Ronaldo left Madrid for Juventus this summer.

The Los Blancos chief explained the reason that Madrid sold the forward for less than his release fee clause.

“Madrid’s clauses are not what needs to be paid, they are dissuasive,” said the president of Los Blancos.

“The most expensive sale this year was Cristiano. When we all agree that this is the best thing, we reach an agreement,” said Perez, per OK Diario. “Nobody gave Madrid more than 100 million. He wanted to go for personal reasons and he has gone for that amount, we haven’t had many more offers.”
