Florentino Perez will leave the 2020-21 project in Zinedine Zidane's hands because of the atypical Covid-19 situation. The Real Madrid president wants Zidane to stay and has handed him plenty of power.
Zidane advised a few weeks ago that despite having a contract, the future was unknown. "I'm here now, but nobody knows what will happen. I have a contract and I'm happy. I don't know when I'll be here until."
Florentino has changed tack after Zidane left in 2018 after winning a third Champions League in a row. It was because Florentino made a project that didn't convince Zidane and he decided to resign as a result.
With more power, Zidane will stay next season. It will be a transition year for everyone because of the coronavirus crisis. No big signings, just players to balance the squad. He doesn't want James or Bale. He wants a right back, a midfielder and a No 9. Nacho is not enough to cover for Carvajal and maybe he will bring Odriozola back.
He would like to sign Camavinga as reinforcement for Casemiro. Brahim he likes but would send out on loan. He prefers Jovic to Mariano, whom he would sell. The rest of the squad he counts on, but any interesting offers for Lucas, Nacho, Isco and Marcelo could be considered...
