The French coach spoke to the media after guiding Madrid to the league title

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has a contract with the club until 2022 but says "in football you never know what may happen" and, for that reason, he doesn't want to "speak about next season or the next one," adding that "one day it will end."

"I am here, but no one knows what will happen, for that reason I don't speak about next season or the next," he said on Saturday in a press conference. "I have a contract and I like it here, but you don't know what may happen in football. For that reason I am calm about my situation, but football changes from one day to the next. I am enjoying it here, let's see until when."

The French coach said he feels "fortunate to be here with these players and at this club. For that reason, I enjoy the day to day so much. This is going to end one day, as it did once before, but one day it's going to happen for good. For that reason, I am just thinking about enjoying myself."

He continued: "It's complicated because some times there's a lot of debate about many things here, and I respect that, but I enjoy my passion of coaching the best and being at the best club in the world. I don't get involved in the rest."

Respect for Barça

With respect to winning the league, Zidane indicated that "we cannot look down on this league title because it's been really difficult. We have fought until the end. Now we have to enjoy it, but out of respect for the league we have another game tomorrow (against Leganes, who are in a relegation battle)."

On Barcelona, he added: "When you look at the games Barça have played, they've only lost one of 10 and they've won six. This is football. We had a great end to the season, but we can't discount what Barça have done."
