Fresh after accepting that a move to Real Madrid won't happen, the Belgian winger isn't looking to sign a new contract with the London club

After weeks of speculation, Eden Hazard now accepts that he won't be leaving Chelsea this summer. His intention was to join Real Madrid, a club special to him, but Chelsea weren't willing to lower their valuation and as such a transfer can't be completed.

However, the forward is in no rush to sign a new contract at Chelsea according to the London Evening Standard. The English club were keen to resolve the Belgian's future before the World Cup started but he refused then and also turned down the opportunity for fresh talks last week. It appears his mind isn't fully made up as to what his future holds.

Following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid reignited their interest in the 27-year-old Hazard but soon realised that Chelsea would be no pushovers when it came to their star man. He has two years left to run on his deal, unlike someone else at Stamford Bridge.

Thibaut Courtois is expected to join Real Madrid before the transfer window closes. Chelsea are willing to let the giant stopper leave but are waiting to secure his replacement first. They have been linked with moves for Kepa and Oblak, at Athletic Club and Atletico Madrid respectively, in the last 24 hours.
