Douglas vs Cristiano Ronaldo... the duel the Bernabeu is waiting for

Douglas Pereira, the defender loaned to Sporting Gijon by Barcelona, is set to clash with Cristiano Ronaldo as the Asturians head to face Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. It will be a real challenge for the Brazilian, who last season used to go home crying after training.

The defender has chances to start considering he did so against Real Sociedad last week and has the confidence of his coach Abelardo. However, the gaffer is considering making changes to arrest his team's bad form. He may play with more defenders and use Douglas as a winger.

For his part, Cristiano has played as a No 9 recently because Benzema and Morata have been out. The Spaniard is still injured but the Frenchman is back, which could see Ronaldo return to the wing, especially with Gareth Bale out too.
