Cristiano Ronaldo suspended for five games!
One game is for the red card and the other four are for pushing the referee
Real Madrid may appeal against the decision
Although the decision was not expected until Wednesday, the Competition Committee decided to bring forward its meeting to noon on Monday. And we already know the length of the ban: five matches.
The Committee explained that Cristiano has been suspended for one game for “two yellow cards and subsequent red” and more significantly he has been suspended for “four matches for violating article 96 of the Disciplinary Code”.
Real Madrid could appeal, although it is unlikely they will. If the five match suspension is served, Cristiano will miss the matches against Barça (Super Cup) and then Deportivo, Valencia, Levante and Real Sociedad (league).
