Controversial Neymar does not convince Real Madrid fans

Florentino Perez, Real Madrid president, has a hot potato with Cristiano Ronaldo. His departure will depend on how much the Portuguese does to leave, because the chief does not want him to leave. Just like Morata and James, Ozil and Di Maria. If the Portuguese ends up leaving, Perez will turn to Brazil star Neymar - at PSG and formerly of Barcelona.

However Madrid fans are debating whether he would fit into the club's philosophy - they don't want controversial players or big heads. They do not like his character and his mercenary father. 

They have had all that with Cristiano Ronaldo and they don't want his replacement to be of the same ilk. Neymar is having trouble at PSG, with the fans not that keen on him despite his great goals. Al Khelaifi, the PSG chief, says "its impossible", but Perez says the same about Ronaldo - "he will leave when and where Real Madrid say", is words that have been leaked from the club.

The positive part is that Neymar is a galactico. He's a player who can make the difference if Ronaldo goes. If he did arrive the fans would come around to him, when he starts playing and winning titles - forgetting about the controversial side.

For now Ronaldo and Neymar are prisoners of their respective clubs, with contracts stretching on, and huge prices needed for them to move.
