Xavi Hernandez: My teams will never play like a Mourinho side

The midfielder looked ahead to this week's game between Barça and Inter

Xavi Hernandez has spoken about a number of issues in an interview with Italian outlet 'Corriere dello Sport'.

As well as talking about Barcelona's game against Inter and Lionel Messi's injury, he also spoke about the style deployed by Jose Mourinho's teams...

Playing career: "I would say, 99 percent, this is my last season. It's normal to be tired at 39 and to want a change of direction. It's still not the moment for goodbyes or announcements, but I have obviously thought about what I will do."

Style like Mouirnho's? "He's a really defensive coach. That's his style and he put in to practice at Chelsea and Real Madrid. I prefer another style of football. I'm not criticising him, but I don't like to play that way and my teams will never have that type of attitude."

Guardiola in Italy? "If he's said he wants to experience Italian football, sooner or later he will come. And, as I know him, he won't just come to take part."

Barça vs. Inter: "It will be like in 2010. Barça will play and Inter will defend and try to [counter] with Icardi and Perisic. My old teammates are favourites. They will dominate possession and create problems [for Inter]. It's not easy to go to Camp Nou and not suffer."

Messi injured: "It will be a big advantage for Inter because Leo's the best I have played with, he's the only one who can make the difference on his own and at any moment. For me, Messi is the best in the world. In fact, the best in history."
