Official: Riyad Mahrez joins Manchester City from Leicester
City will pay north of 60 million euros for the player
Manchester City confirmed the signing of Leicester City forward Riyad Mahrez on Tuesday.
The algerian international has joined Pep Guardiola's side until June 2023 and will wear the No.26 shirt at the Etihad.
City announced their signing through their official channels after Mahrez passed a medical earlier in the day.
"I am very happy to have signed for City, a team that plays great football under Guardiola," said Mahrez, a Premier League winner with Leicester.
Premier League champions City have paid in excess of 60 million euros for Mahrez, who joined Leicester in 2013.
After helping them win promotion to the Premier League, he then helped them win the English top flight, scoring 17 goals in 37 games as the won the title in 2015-16.
