The player can't travel to the USA with his Manchester United teammates for their preseason tour and is awaiting a resolution

Although Jose Mourinho looked happy in Los Angeles as Manchester United begin their preseason tour, he's disappointed at losing Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean winger has been denied a visa to enter the United States.

Sanchez, who was sentenced to 16 months in prison for tax fraud between 2012 and 2014, hasn't been allowed to travel with the Red Devils to the US. According to 'The Sun' the player was spotted at his house in Cheshire looking fully fit. It's since been confimed that his absence from the tour is due to legal issues whilst trying to obtain a visa.

The player's lawyers are working hard to resolve the matter, all this while United start their USA tour on the 20th July. The player is expected to miss at least one match of their tour.

United have friendlies against Club América (20th July) and San José Earthquakes (22nd July) before three matches in the International Champions Cup against AC Milan (26th July), Liverpool (28th July) and Real Madrid (1st August).

Espanyol player, Sergio Garcia, was also denied a visa to enter the United States but was finally able to resolve his situation and travel with Rubi's team.
