The Italian coach has released a statement via the League Managers Association after he was sacked by Chelsea last week

Antonio Conte, who was sacked by Chelsea last week, has bid farewell to the club and its fans in a statement to the League Managers Association.

"I hope Chelsea will continue to be successful and I wish everyone well for next season. I have made many memories during my time with Chelsea, which I will take with me into my next challenge," explained the Italian coach.

After two seasons at Chelsea, where he won the Premier League and an FA Cup, Conte was sacked last week following several months of rumours about his future.

His replacement at Chelsea will be another Italian, Maurizio Sarri, who was at Napoli last season.

"I have enjoyed my time in England and London so much and I want to thank the Chelsea fans who have been amazing to me and my family. It was fantastic for me to be able to share my emotions, passion and enthusiasm throughout two unforgettable seasons with these amazing Chelsea supporters, who will always stay in my heart."

Conte also dedicated some words to his players as it was their talent and commitment which was important to Chelsea's successes.

"To my staff, who always worked so hard, I must say thank you and well done for their professionalism and dedication throughout," concluded Conte.
