The Uruguayan manager has been told to stay away from the club for a week after going on a rant about the club's transfer business

The president of FC Girondins de Bordeaux, Stéphane Martin, has announced this Friday the one-week suspension of head coach, Gustavo Poyet, after the Uruguayan went on a rant about the club selling a player behind his back.

In a press conference which was posted on the club's official website, Martin said that following the week's suspension the two parties would meet again and that 'everything is possible' regarding the final outcome.

Poyet left the training ground this morning after holding a meeting with the president.

In the official statement from Bordeaux, the club announced that fitness coach, Eric Bedouet, would take temporary chage of the first team.

The reason behind the suspension is the former Betis coach's very public declarations about a certain transfer taking place without his permission.

Poyet is angry that Gaetan Laborde was sold to Montpellier and it had been his "worst day" since he arrived at the club, this despite Bordeaux winning their Europa League match.

"What the club has done with Laborde is an embarrassment. They went against my wishes, against the players and against the supporters. I can't accept that. I need a public explanation to understand it," added an upset Poyet.
