Official: Morata completes 18 month loan move to Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid have announced the signing of Spain striker Alvaro Morata from Chelsea on an 18 month loan deal. 

The club revealed on Monday that they had struck a deal with the English club for Morata to join them until June of 2020. 

Morata, 26, subsequently passed a medical with the club and signed his contract -- he will be presented officially on Tuesday. 

"I'm really happy and proud to be here," he said. "I can't wait to train, link up with my teammates and start playing."

Remember that Morata played for Atletico when he was a kid before moving to Real Madrid, where he's had two spells. 

As well as Chelsea in England, he has also played for Juventus in Italy.
