Juanfran signs one-year contract extension with Atletico
The right-back will remain with the Rojiblancos next season
Juanfran Torres will remain with Atletico Madrid for another season. The Rojiblancos have confirmed that they have reached an agreement for the right-back to extend his contract until 2019.
"He's earned the affection and respect of our supporters thanks to his effort and hard work, something which has made him one of the most loved players among the fans," Atletico said.
The defender, who will spend his ninth season with the club, has played 325 games for Atletico and has won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, two Europa Leagues and one Spanish Super Cup.
"To continue at my home for another year fills me with pride and happiness," Juanfran said. "To renew for another year with the team of my life fills me with excitement. My commitment and loyalty to this club make my heart only think of being Rojiblanco."
Juanfran follows Gabi, Gimenez and Griezmann in extending their deals with Atletico this summer.
