The former Barça man says the Madrid forward's a better leader

Alexander Hleb has spoken about the Champions League quarter-finals, analysing Barcelona and Real Madrid. 

The eternal dispute between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo came up, with Hleb declaring the former the best in the world, but criticising him for his display against Roma as Barça were knocked out. 

In fact, the former Barcelona player the difference between Messi and Ronaldo in their respective ties was the key to one side progressing and the other going out. 

Hleb said to Sport Express: "Of course Messi is the best in the world, the leader of Barcelona. He has the mission to help the team in difficult times and he wasn't the origin of even one goal. He was impotent." 

On Ronaldo, who scored three in two legs against Juventus, he added: "I don't know, Ronaldo is a better leader of his team than Messi, with all respect for Leo."
