FC Barcelona are considering hiring Jordi Cruyff as part of their sporting structure and direction.

The son of late Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff is currently managing Maccabi Tel Aviv, although he is planning on leaving the club in the summer.

The Blaugrana are thinking about hiring Jordi according to RAC1 radio.

Tributes from the club to his father after his death have helped bring the Cruyff family closer to Barcelona and Jordi has an excellent relationship with the Blaugrana at the moment.

Barcelona already made an offer to him last summer to join the sporting set up currently headed by Pep Segura, but he declined because he wanted to grow as a coach.

Cruyff has led Maccabi for the last six seasons, winning three Israeli titles. He arrived in Israel in 2012 as the club’s sporting director.

At 44, he announced a few weeks ago that it was the moment to leave his job in Israel and is currently thinking about Barca’s offer, which could include taking over the B team if he wants to keep growing as a coach.
