L'Equipe: Monaco strike contract agreement with Chelsea's Fabregas
The midfielder looks set to join the Ligue 1 club this month
Monaco have reached an agreement in principle with Spain international Cesc Fabregas, according to L'Equipe.
The Ligue 1 club are looking to strengthen as they fight against relegation and have lined up Fabregas, who has just six months left on his deal at Chelsea.
French paper L'Equipe reports that Monaco have made contact with the 31-year-old and there "are signs that the operation is do-able."
In fact, they explain that "even though there are details to resolve with Chelsea, there is now an agreement between the player and Monaco over a two-and-a-half-year deal."
Fabregas will be reunited with Thierry Henry, the Monaco boss, in France, who he played alongside at Arsenal.
