The Europa League final will be in Gdansk and the women's final in Vienna

UEFA met in Kiev on Thursday to discuss where the European finals at the end of the 2019-20 season will be played, with the Champions League final given to Istanbul.

The game will be played at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium, which is the same venue which hosted the famous 2005 final between Liverpool and AC Milan. The stadium was opened in 2002 and is where the Turkish national team usually play their home matches.

Meanwhile, the final of the Europa League will be played in the Polish city of Gdansk, with the women's Champions League final being awarded to Vienna in Austria.

Finally, the 2020 European Super Cup will be played at Porto's Do Dragao home (Portugal), which opened in 2003.

FROM Kiev TO MADRID

Saturday's final between Real Madrid and Liverpool will be played in Kiev (Ukraine) and next year's host city has already been chosen for the Champions League final: it will be played at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid (Spain).

As for the 2019 Europa League, the final will be played in Baku (Azerbaijan), while the winners of this year's Champions League and Europa League will meet in Tallin (Estonia) this August.
