The Swedish striker believes that if he'd arrived in the US ten years ago, he would already be living in the White House

Zlatan Ibrahimovic continues to follow the path which has led him to become one of the most famous footballers of the last twenty years: scoring goals and providing outrageous soundbites.

He returned to his box of phases following Los Angeles Galaxy's 3-1 victory over Philadelphia Union. Zlatan scored one of his side's goals and at the end of the match made his way to the mixed zone.

When he was asked if he thought he'd changed the culture of football in the United States, the former Barça and PSG striker said: "I don't know if it's changing, I'm only doing my job."

However, this relative modest answer was soon followed by: "They're lucky I didn't come 10 years ago because I would be the President today."

Zlatan would make a formidable opponent to the current man occupying the White House, Donald Trump. It'll be interesting to see if the social media friendly president will respond to the Swede's boastful claim or dismiss it as fake news.

Against Philadelphia, the other two scorers for LA Galaxy were Romain Alessandrini and Michael Ciani. Ibrahimovic has scored 12 goals in 15 MLS matches.
