Cristiano Ronaldo nets his 700th career goal for Portugal
The Portuguese forward scored against Ukraine but his side lost 2-1
Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo scored in a 2-1 defeat by Ukraine, from the penalty spot. It was his 700th goal as a player, the sixth top scorer for club and country for all time.
It was his 95th for Portugal. Ronaldo has scored 5 for Sporting Lisbon, 118 for Man United, 451 for Real Madrid and 32 for Juventus.
Ronaldo could also reach his 1,000th game this season and at 34 is still hungry for goals. He has an average of 0.72 per season.
