Corona-hit Wu Lei tries to calm down his fans
The Espanyol striker was diagnosed with the virus but is doing okay
The Chinese football association confirmed that Espanyol striker Wu Lei has coronavirus. The player then published a message of his own to try and calm supporters.
"Hello dear fans!," he wrote.
"As you know, I'm infected with Covid-19. I'm in my home to start the quarantine. Mentally I'm well, strong, and my symptoms have nearly disappeared. They've also done a series of tests on my lungs and the results are very good, there's no type of problem.
"I'd like to thank you for your messages of love. I've received them all and I'm giving you a lot of thanks for the support. Don't worry!
"I'd also like you to be conscious about Covid-19. We haven't beaten it yet so for that, follow the health instructions, wash your hands and don't go outside.
"Thanks for your love again! I'm convinced we'll beat Covid-19! Can't wait to get back playing! Let's go!"
