The Chinese Federation confirmed Wu Lei has tested positive for the virus

Chinese international striker Wu Lei is one of the six people at Barcelona-based Espanyol that has tested positive for coronavirus. 

The Chinese Football Association has confirmed that the forward has contracted the virus, making him the second player at the club to be named.

La Liga side Espanyol have confirmed that four players and two members of staff tested positive for Covid-19, but until now only the name of defender Leandro Cabrera had been revealed

The club have maintained their silence on who is infected. Cabrera's situation was revealed in the Uruguayan press and Wu Lei's name first came out on COPE and has been confirmed by SPORT. 

On Saturday morning, the Chinese Football Association confirmed everything, explaining that he had presented minor symptoms and was receiving treatment. 

Everyone at Espanyol who has been in contact with the six people who have contracted the virus is in a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
