The Italy youth international will move now so that he doesn't leave for free next summer

After the departures of Joselu, Vilhena, Víctor Gómez and Pedrosa, the next to leave Espanyol this summer will be Luca Koleosho.

Espanyol need money to sign and have decided to transfer him to avoid him leaving for free next year -- his contract expires in June 2024 -- despite being one of the most promising youth players at the club.

According to 'The Telegraph', Burnley will pay Espanyol up to €3 million euros to sign Koleosho. The young winger looked set to play an important role in the second division under Luis Garcia, but the newly-promoted Premier League club have turned his head.

It is worth remembering that Koleosho had not yet joined the training sessions in Marbella under the coach's orders after playing in the European Under-19 Championship with Italy, a tournament in which he was crowned champion.

Espanyol will reserve a percentage of his rights to earn more money in the event of a hypothetical future sale, something they are still negotiating with the English side.
