Sven Ulreich apologises after his error against Real Madrid
The Bayern goalkeeper gave away Madrid's second goal
As well as referee Cuneyt Cakir, the other big protagonist in the Champions League clash between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich was Sven Ulreich. He will never forget his error at the Santiago Bernabeu which let Benzema in for his second goal.
This Wednesday, the German keeper wanted to apologise to his fans through his Instagram account. "Words cannot describe how disappointed I am to be knocked out of the Champions League. We really wanted to be in the final, but then I had this unneccesary error. I cannot explain it. I am sorry to my team and the fans."
However his team-mates and the club backed him, saying that he had 'saved their ass' many times before, and tried to raise his spirits.
